Let's Bowl

Not too far from Evanston there is an awesome (seriously) bowling alley. It's fancy. They have couches to sit on instead of uncomfortable bowling chairs. No snack bar, waiters come and take your order! Every morning they have Mom & Tot bowling for just $5 per kid, moms are free! It's amazing. This was an especially rainy and cold week (spring? what?) so we headed over for a fun morning with our friends Lori and Emmett (and baby Elle).

It's so great to have Lincoln walking, but now he's all over the place.

These pictures are blurry, but for some reason all the lights were off in the place. Cosmic bowling at 10:00 am.

Love those ramps

Easter Weekend

Easter egg hunt, Kellogg style

We had a long wonderful weekend full of Easter activites. Friday night at TG we had an egg hunt for our Kellogg Kids. I would have loved to have it outside somewhere, but it's still too cold! (I'm not having a great relationship with Chicago right now). So we made due in a classroom. Not much of a "hunt" since most the eggs were in plain sight, but I think the kids had fun.

One of our cute little friends actually collected about 6 eggs before he looked inside and squealed "there's candy in these eggs!" Bonus.

Parker didn't carry his basket around with him, he collected as many as he could in his hands, then brought them to the basket and ran out again.

I didn't get any pictures of cute Lincoln, but he caught on to what was going on really quickly. He was actually collecting eggs and taking them to his basket!

On Saturday morning we had our next Easter egg hunt at the church. It was hosted by the nursery and was so fun! When we came in the kids worked on a craft (decorating little Easter egg ornaments).

Then the kiddos hunted for eggs around the church building. Parker did great and it was cute watching him actually look and find the eggs on his own, he got so excited.

More candy!

On Sunday morning the Easter Bunny came (he brought leftover candy). Parker was moving too fast to let me take pictures of him, but even after three days of this, he was still super excited to see more eggs. Or was it the candy?

Lincoln upset because Parker wouldn't let him take his eggs

Tattling

Sam made crepes for our Easter breakfast. Yum!! Sidenote: Sam bought what he thought was the Tropicana version of Simply Orange called Trop50. Turns out it's an "orange juice beverage" that tastes nothing like what orange juice should taste like. It tastes like watered down orange juice with a weird after taste.

He's always much happier after he gets food in his belly

Of course we went to church too (no pictures in our Easter clothes), which was the best part of the week. I am so thankful for my Savior who lived and died for me so I can return to live with him again. Happy Easter!!

Our movie star

Parker has been in quite a few projects recently at Kellogg. This is a "recruiting" video they showed to all the incoming/prospective students that came to Day at Kellogg this past month.

Last weekend the India Business Club at school put on a "Bollywood Bash". It's one of the most popular events at Kellogg and now I know why-it was awesome! Tons of dance/music performances and amazing Indian food. Some of our Kellogg Kids filmed a Bollywood Mini dance they showed at the performance.

We're so proud.

Twelve Months of Lincoln

ONE Year

So Lincoln turned one (in February). We had a little partay for him. I didn't take any pictures of the decorations, but it was President Lincoln themed (since his birthday is the day before Abe Lincoln's). It was really fun to have all our new friends over to celebrate our baby!

Singing happy birthday

I think Link got a little stage fright because this is the most action the cake saw all night

Poor cake. And poor us for not getting any face full of cake pictures.

Our awesome friends from Puerto Rico brought gifts for Lincoln AND Parker.
