Funny or Die

Last night Sam and I went to the Will Farrell "Funny or Die" comedy tour. It was great for the most part. We had awesome seats--9th row center, on the floor...which unfortunately didn't make for the best acoustics. Some parts were really hard to hear because we were right below the speakers, but overall it was a really really funny show. There are three other comedians touring with him...Demetri Martin (who was the hardest to hear, but I thought he was the funniest), Nick Swardson (not that funny in my opinion), and Zach Galafianakis.

I saw two people dressed up as Buddy the Elf at the show...very funny. During one part Will took some questions from the audience. By far my favorite was "If you had the choice between being the top comedian in your field and getting mad cow disease what would it be?" If you haven't seen the SNL clip of Will Ferrell as Harry Caray, you've got to check it out. Here are some pics from the show!

Will started out the show by fighting off ninjas

At one point during the show he came out and rode around the stage on a Jazzy.

This is Zach Galafianakis closing out his bit by singing "Tomorrow" dressed as Annie. He had a whole bunch of things written on pages of the flip chart that he would rip off at various points during the song...this page was the finale.

Will came out dressed as Ron Burgundy for one part and interviewed two Penn State football players.

All the comedians closed the show by coming out in "Capezio dance pants" (Will was very specific about this) and Ugg boots. They all sang "No One" by Alicia Keys together.

And here's a picture of us at the show!

I Don't Want No More of Girls' Camp Life

So I decided I just join the 21st century (don't worry...I had to think for a few seconds about what century it was) and start a blog. Not that Sam and I have very exciting lives, but maybe someday we will. And when we do, I want to be prepared! But for now you're going to have to deal with our boring-ness.

I did just get back from Girls Camp here in Central PA. It was fantastic. It's pretty fun to go back as a leader...it's like being a camper without having to do all the certification. I don't really think I'm mature enough to be a leader, I felt more like one of the young women. This year I was with the 4th years again which is the best. We went on the 4th year hike on Monday. The hike was fun--it was pretty short, so that was a relief because it was super humid out. The 4th years camped in tents that night. We cooked dinner over our fire and made S'mores, of course!

The rest of the week was fun. We ate, did certification, played games, did crafts, and sang camp songs! I taught the girls the Buzzard Song, which I think they really liked (thanks Jenny and Kristin for a reminder of the lyrics). I was really glad to get home though and take a shower and sleep in my own bed! Here are some pics!
