Splash Park
There is a cute little splash park near our place that I've been waiting to take Parker to (been waiting for him to walk--did you know he was walking?) A couple weeks ago we finally made it and have been a few times since! Surprisingly, he liked it best the first time. He was absolutely fearless--walked right through all the little fountains and just got soaked. He's been a little more cautious the couple times we've been back--not sure why. Either way, he gets super excited when we go! Here are some pictures I snapped. Sorry they're so bright; apparently I didn't adjust any settings on my camera.

PA
I've been putting this off, but I'm sure everyone's been wondering how our trip was :) Once we finally made it there on the right day and everything we had a great time! Parker and I spent a few days in State College visiting with old friends. Sam and I moved just a few weeks before Parker was born, so it was fun for him to meet all the people who knew him in my belly!

This is my old manager and friend Patty Treaster and her girls Payton and Talia.
We were also able to visit with some friends from our old ward. Lauren Christensen and her daughter Isabel and Megan Baylis and her daughter Sophie.
The three kids "playing".
I just liked this picture of Parker.

I spent LOTS of time with my good friend Kim (who I miss dearly), her husband Troy, and their new baby boy Cole.

Me and the two boys

After our visit to State College, we drove back to Philadelphia to spend some time with Sam's parents. While we were there we met up with Rob and Amy Edwards and their baby Logan who we also knew in State College, but have since moved. It was so fun to see them. Their little guys was SOOO cute and such a happy baby!

Leaving on jet plane...almost
For a couple of months I have been planning a trip to Pennsylvania with Parker. We selected the dates (July 8-14), made hotel reservations, and let friends know we were coming in town. Tuesday we (I) did laundry, packed, and bought food and new toys for Parker. Yesterday morning we loaded up the car and headed to the airport. We were almost inside when Sam realized we forgot the car seat in the car, so he dropped us off to stand in line and went back to get it. While he was gone I began checking in at a kiosk. I swiped my credit card, selected my destination city...Cannot retrieve your reservation. Hmm, I must have done something wrong, so I swiped and typed again. Cannot retrieve your reservation. By this time Sam was just getting back with the car seat. I was about to ask an agent for help when it dawned on me. July 15th. I pulled out my phone, and found the email with my itinerary. Sure enough, the departure date was July 15th-a week from yesterday. I had looked at my email confirmation a couple of times in the past few days checking times and whatnot, but had never realized that Sam booked the wrong weekend! (Yes, I'm blaming it all on him :) ). Needless to say it was very embarrassing. At that point I was glad I hadn't made a big deal about it to one of the agents. At least we could walk quietly away and not make a big scene.
Funny story now, definitely not funny at the time! I'm just glad our trip was a week late and not a week earlier!

Zoo
Recently we headed to the San Diego Zoo with our friends. We had never been before and had a great time! The zoo is beautiful (this coming from someone who doesn't really love zoos).
Here are Parker and Addelyn. It was cute, they were holding hands in their strollers right before this picture was taken.
The zoo has double decker bus tours that go around some of the animal exhibits. It was fun when Parker noticed the giraffes and LOVED them!
The zoo has a children's zoo which has a petting area with goats roaming around. The kids definitely were not afraid. They went right up and pet (or grabbed) them.
Addelyn chatting with a goat.
This was my favorite part of the kids zoo. Our little bugs!
Sam and Parker
Sam's favorite part was the reptile house. There were ENORMOUS snakes.
Checking out the monkeys.
Here we are with the hippo. Parker was very interested in it!
